Shades of Scarlett Deep in Thought

Gone from the net...

Here lately I have been gone from tBlog, all of my instant
messaging, and general emails to keep in contact with
everyone.  Things are going well with the John and I
situation and Sunday, sadly, I have to leave him and return
to school in Tennessee.  Although I do miss my family and
friends, John and I are domesticated- we have a routine that
we basically follow everyday, we act like we are married
most of the time and it's something I have come to depend
on.  My book is coming along nicely.  Some days I write and
some days I don't.  I am well into the third chapter and
it's the longest so far.  I think it takes up as many pages
as the first two combined.

So, how are you all doing because I miss my tBlog friends.
I think that for the most part, the gang isn't blogging
anymore.  Blou?  Greybeard?  Magoo?  Ya'll there?  John and
I miss everybody.

Military songs

Hey everyone!  Just a quick question, do you know of any military songs?  Examples include Letters from Home by John Michael Montgomery etc.  I know there are others but I can't remember for the life of me!  Help!!!

update

Still here people, still working on my book.  John is out with his guy firneds playing ppoker while I am sitting at home watching Full House reruns and playing Rise of Nations on the computer.  I apologize for nothing of worth to say but my book has me all tuckered out.  I hope all of you are doing well and thank you for the tmails asking how I was doing, etc.  I am glad that you all care so much!

I was on TV!!!

Well, here's an update on my life.  Monday night this week I went to a family support group meeting with John because he attends said event to represent the Red Cross.  A local TV studio requested the presence of soldier's wives and mothers.  When a mother who was unable to attend called in, they called me because they wanted to be able to speak to a soldier.  The show is focused on women's voices so they wanted solely women.

That event was today and I was nervous as hell.  But, it went well.  It was a thirty minute show to be aired on Sunday at noon.  I haven't been on TV before so it was interesting.  Anyway, other than that, John is pretty sick but I think that he is feeling better, at least I truly hope so.

tBlog and moving on

First of all I would like to tell you that I truly have enjoyed my time here on tBlog.  You have all been so wonderful and encouraging of me at all points.  Especially those of you who said such kind words to me about the manner in which I was dealing with the war.  Thank you so much for that.  I am truly honored to have defended your freedom, to know each of you.

Most of you who keep up with my blog know that I am writing my book based on the story of my childhood.  The title of it is A World Built on Pain, A World Healed by Music and I hope to publish through American Literary Press Spring 2005.  This is saying that my happy butt can keep up with it and finish it on time.

So, I am spending so much time writing my book and between that and Dirt-->http://writers.tblog.com" title="http://writers.tblog.com" target="_blank"http://writers.tblog.com that I simply don't have the time to blog much.  I am fully wanting to put all of my creative energy into my book and Dirt so please forgive me if I do not blog much.  I will keep you updated on how my book is going but my sister is worried that it will get stolen if I keep it on the web so I don't know about keeping it posted here on blog.  I know that none of my regular visitors would do that but as a pro user, I do get a lot of hits from outside users who I don't know.  For those of you whom I am close to (you know who you are), tmail me as I will check back in and check on my blog friends.  For those of you who are on Dirt staff with me, yay! let's get this show on the road baby!

Mandy, btw hon if you read this, I love you very much and I am on yahoo and aim with you so no worries...I will keep up with you girl!  That goes for everyone with whom I have shared my im s/n and emails...I will stay in touch.  If for a chance you don't have my email etc and would like it, tmail me!

Pictures in St. Louis

Shark99 and I went to St. Louis for the weekend. We toured the famous arch signaling the gateway to the west, the old courthouse and gardens, various restaurants, Union Station, and finally Anheuser-Busch Brewery. And yes, we did do the whole beer tasting thing at the Brewery. We bought matching T-shirts and we both picked out the beer mug, key chain, and hat we wanted. We also had a cartoonist draw a caricature of us while at Union Station! Hope you enjoy just a few of the pictures we took!!
